Plug Power and Ballard Power Extend Agreement
Ballard Power Systems will remain the exclusive supplier of fuel cell stacks to Plug Power after the companies said Wednesday they have extended an existing supply deal through 2010.
The previous agreement was set to expire May 1, 2009.
Ballard's fuel cells supply power to Plug Power's GenDrive hydrogen fuel cell units, which replace lead-acid batteries in lift trucks used in large warehouse, distribution and manufacturing facilities.
