Modine Parades a Fuel Cell Powered Float
Modine Manufacturing will be unvieling a new circus float which draws its power for the elaborate electronics from a fuel cell.
Modine combined a PEM fuel cell from the then General Hydrogen, now PLug Power, with a carbon-dioxide-based heating and cooling system that it developed in Racine.
It is thought that using compressed hydrogen the unit can power the system for 10 hours continuously.
Modine is also known to working with a British company that’s developing fuel cells for home use.
