Based in Cranleigh, Surrey AFC Energy is a pioneering new company that aims to make the alkaline fuel cell technology a serious competitor in the field of small (3.5kW) to medium (750kW) scale stationary power supplies. We currently have a vacancy for a Test Engineer/Technician who will be responsible for design, developing, maintaining, operating, recording and reporting of tests carried out on manufactured products to ensure that they meet the specified standards. This is a varied role so a will require someone with a versatile approach. Experience and/or knowledge of the following would be an advantage: Fuel cell rig assembly, commissioning, testing and reporting Ideal candidates will be trained in mechanical engineering to HND level or equivalent. Testing, calibration and performance verification of equipment Ability to address any technical problems encountered within the production department Assist in diagnosing faulty components Check and ensure that all product records and test results are correct and complete before filing Participate in the production (assembly and testing) of equipment Liaise and communicate with suppliers / sub-contractors on a technical level as required To continually look for ways to improve the test procedures
Required Skills:
Ideal candidates will also be able to demonstrate experience in some of the following: Operating and maintaining test equipment Analysing and reporting on test data Thorough and logical approach to work Working successfully both as a team player and individually Ability to show a proactive and innovative approach
