Canada to provide funds for environmentally friendly technologies, boosting clean fuel cell technology
Glittering with solar cells, and built to gold certification in the Leadership in the Energy and Environmental Design green building rating system, the new National Research Council Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation building on the southernmost tip of the University of British Columbia campus was the ideal venue for Canadas Prime Minister Stephen Harper's ecoTrust announcement to support provincial projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants. The environmental benefits will be achieved through different initiatives tailored towards the specific needs of the provinces, outlined in this news article.
