A Vision of the Hydrogen Economy in Wales

This vision for a hydrogen economy in Wales presented in this document has been produced following a thorough consultation exercise with over 100 key stakeholders in the future hydrogen economy in Wales. Central to this process were two seminars held in March and June 2004 and organised by the WDA led Hydrogen Valley Initiative and the University of Glamorgan’s Hydrogen Research Unit. These seminars helped to identify the important aspects of a future hydrogen economy in Wales and ways in which Wales could gain an advantage through the transition. The information from this consultation exercise and the views of the participants have been collated into a vision of a hydrogen economy for Wales and a route map defining potential strategic development towards the hydrogen economy in Wales, including the requirements for the successful introduction of a hydrogen economy in Wales.
