The Current Situation and Expectation of the US and European Fuel Cell Market

Fuel Cell Today's Editor, David Jollie, was invited to present on the status and future of the European and US fuel cell markets at January 2005's FC Expo. The presentation focused on the commercial and governmental activities, leaving the question of technical progress to one side.

The FC Expo provided an opportunity to judge the USA and Europe against progress being made in Japan and a number of interesting trends and points emerge, from the driving forces for fuel cell and hydrogen adoption, the organsiation of government bodies to encourage this and even the focus of many of the organisations involved.
